If you do one thing in town, make it the Bollon Heritage Centre. Nestled in the heart of the main street, it's easy to spend the afternoon retracing Bollon's history. Even the keenest history buff will be pleasantly surprised by the range of artefacts and stories that narrate the town's rural history and Aboriginal culture. Be sure to check out the momentos of visiting politicians displayed on the walls.

Bollon State School has a small but active Parents and Citizens (P&C) association. The P&C meets each month - please check the newsletter for times. 

Care Balonne Association Inc. established in 1994, is primarily an information and referral service covering the whole of the Balonne Shire, based in the town of St George. Our vision is to be recognised as a progressive organisation that aspires to increase the viability of our community by being aware of the community needs and develoing strategies to meet these needs.

The Harmony Centre is a unique piece of infrastructure designed to promote cultural immersion activities, arts and tourism. We have office and conferencing facilities available for hire and artworks for purchase.

Lifeline operate a store in St George.  We sell a range of items including clothing, books, furniture and collectables.
Our customers continue to enjoy access to affordable, quality items that have the added bonus of giving back to the local community.
Customers are assured that the money they are spending is supporting local employment and training opportunities as well as providing funds which allow us to provide community services such as family counselling.

Yowah Opal Miners Community Services Incorporated, is the lifeblood of the town. Offering a town hall with community services, medical services, social services and social activities such as the annual Yowah Opal Festival held on the 3rd weekend of July.
